Brenda Jean Crites

Brenda Jean Crites age 69 she gained her beautiful angel wings on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at a local hospital in Hot Springs, AR. She was born Wednesday, August 2, 1950 to Wanda Sue (Rosewell) and Elwood Sr. Edwards of Malvern, AR. She was a caregiver for many years, she enjoyed helping others. Brenda liked to color, crochet, get her favorite Coke drink from Sonic, and have her hair and nails done. She really enjoyed watching movies- A Time to Kill, being a favorite and just about anything with Patrick Swayze especially Dirty Dancing. Brenda absolutely loved her family and spending time with them and also had a soft spot for dogs. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, her beloved husband, Johnny Leamon Crites, her sister, Nancy Sue Heath, her niece Julie Heath and several other relatives.
She is survived by her son, Elwayne Crites, her daughters, Belinda Crites, Crystal (Albert “Pee Wee”) Wallace, Johnnie Jean (Kirk) Thompson; her brother, Elwood Edwards Jr.; her grandchildren, John (Hannah) Crites, Devon Crites, Brendan (Elizabeth) Crites, Macy Crites, Brianna Crites, Daisha (Joshua) Wallace, Kaela Wallace, Emma Wallace, Albert Wallace, Sasha Wallace, Daniel (Nikki) Kellebrew, Jacob (Julie) Kellebrew, Christian (Robert) Nitzke, Micah (Jody) Berry. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Mateo, Sydney, Mackenzie, Lincoln, Ava, Ryleigh, Addalyn, Sirius, RJ, Luke, Kori, Josephine, Georgina, Christopher, Jadyn, Bradley, Easton, Finley, and Kaydence, one great-grandbaby on the way; and her family friends Leah Wilson and Leah’s son Kingston.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malvern. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday September 19, 2019, at the Atkinson Chapel. Pallbearers will be John Crites, Brendan Crites, Elwayne Crites, Albert Wallace Jr., Daniel Kellebrew, and Jacob Kellebrew. She will last rest next to her sweet husband and family at Clear Creek Cemetery in Malvern. After the burial the family is asking everyone to join them at The Sweet Magnolia at 3456 Oliver Lancaster Blvd. in Malvern, AR for a Celebration of Life.
