James "Jim" William Laster Iii

James William Laster III (Jim), 71, of Glen Rose Arkansas, passed away October 16, 2020, due to complications from cancer treatments. Jim was born on May 3, 1949, and raised in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He met his wife Charlotte (Tinsley) of Eldorado and Attended Ouachita Baptist University until he enlisted in the United States Air Force.

While stationed in Germany he graduated with a bachelor’s in business Administration, and upon his return stateside, he obtained a master’s in counseling from Henderson State University-Jim went on to provide counseling services in the public and private sectors.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years and three daughters, Amy Laster, and her fiancé Boe Webb of Denison, Texas, Beth Barnett, and her husband Doug of Glen Rose, Arkansas, and Christie Moore and her husband Russell of Benton, Arkansas, and four grandchildren, Travis Barnett, Ansley Roberts, Kadence Massey, and Andy Moore.

Memorial services will be arranged at a later date.
