Kenneth R. Davis

Longtime Malvern resident Kenneth R. Davis passed away on February 6, 2010, at the age of 101.
Born to Ora and Alta Davis on November 25, 1908, in Muncie, Indiana, Kenneth was an Army Veteran who served in WWII.
Kenneth had four siblings and is survived by his niece Helen King and family in Arizona.
Kenneth married his wife, Valerie, in Chicago in 1942 and they moved to Malvern, Arkansas, sometime in the mid-1940s. Kenneth was a barber by trade. In Malvern, he was the small business -owner of the Red Ball Barber Shop and continued to work well in his 90s.
Kenneth and Valerie raised three children- Kenneth “Kenny” R. Davis II, who preceded his parents in death in 2005 at the age of 62; William R. Davis of Malvern, born 1949; and Valerie Darlene Steadman of Colorado, born 1954. All three of his children have raised families of their own.
A joint memorial service for Kenneth and Valerie Lucelle (Jacobs) Davis will take place at 2 P.M. Thursday, February 20, 2020, at The Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel.
