Mary Louise Cox

Mary Louise Cox, 91, entered paradise on February 19, 2024, with her church family by her side. She was born on July 25, 1932, in Pine Grove, West Virgina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Cox; Parents, Frank and Gladys (Sponaugle) Stackpole; Brother, Don Stackpole; and her cherished pet Peanut.

Louise is survived by her brothers, Fred Stackpole, Jerry Stackpole, Tom Stackpole, Harvey Stackpole, several nephews and nieces, and her extended church family.

When her father passed away in 1957, the family moved to California, where she met and married the love of her life, Ray. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years. After retirement, they moved to Ray’s hometown of Malvern, AR, Louise was a faithful member of the North Main Church of Christ. Louise loved the Lord and enjoyed activities such as reading her Bible, singing hymns, and working puzzles. She especially enjoyed going camping with her husband. They traveled to many places and enjoyed every minute of it.

Louise was a generous giver, as long as it didn’t mean she had to share her chocolates. Louise was

always ready to help, never shirking responsibility. She had a quick wit, an infectious smile, and a

chuckle that will be greatly missed.

A special thanks to the team at Baptist Health (Connie, Brenda, Jennifer, Eric, Dr. Mitchell), Arkansas Hospice (Corbin and Amber), and the team at The Crossing for their loving care.

Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, starting at 4:00 PM at the North Main Church of Christ. Online condolences can be made at www.atkinsonfuneralhome.net
