Valerie Davis

Valerie Davis passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 13, 2020, at the age of 95. Valerie was born to Lithuanian immigrants on June 17, 1924; Valerie Lucelle Jacobs grew up in Cicero, Illinois. She was an only child. Valerie was a beautician who also enjoyed music and dining out.
She married her husband, Kenneth R. Davis, in Chicago in 1942. The two relocated to Malvern, AR sometime in the mid-1940s with Valerie’s family. Kenneth died in February 2010.
Valerie and Kenneth raised three children-Kenneth “Kenny” Davis II who preceded his parents in death in 2005 at the age of 62; William R. Davis of Malvern, born 1949; and Valerie Darlene Steadman of Colorado, born in 1954.
Surviving family members include Kenny’s wife Sharon, William and his wife Carlann, and Darlene and her husband Jody; five grandchildren, Donna Mantione, Stephanie Kidder, Michael Nugent, Christy Steadman, and Julie Wertz, also many great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
A joint Memorial service for Kenneth R. Davis and Valerie Lucelle (Jacobs) Davis will take place at 2 P.M. Thursday, February 20, 2020, at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malvern.
