Carolyn Loyd, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully from natural causes on December 19, 2025, in Benton, Arkansas. She was born on May 21, 1947, in Malvern, Arkansas, to Vinnie and Henry Laster.

Carolyn was a proud graduate of Ouachita High School, where she nurtured a lifelong love for learning and community. She carried that spirit into every aspect of her life, making lasting connections and fostering a warm, welcoming environment for family and friends alike.

Throughout her life, Carolyn was a devoted wife to her late husband, Dewayne Loyd, who preceded her in death. Together, they built a family that would become the foundation of her joy and purpose. Carolyn is survived by her cherished sons, Dale Laster and Troy Sealy, as well as her loving daughters, Kathleen Hodges and Delanna Kidder. Her legacy also lives on through her grandchildren: Ashley Burkett, Jeremy Laster, Lexy Robinson, Madison Kidder, Donovan Kidder, and Sterling Kidder. Additionally, Carolyn was a proud grandmother to five great-grandchildren, bringing immeasurable joy to her life.

Her warmth and kindness touched all who knew her, and her family will forever treasure their memories of her laughter, wisdom, and unwavering support. Carolyn’s life, enriched by her roles as a mother and grandmother, serves as a shining example of love and devotion. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
