She was a vibrant and loving individual who touched the lives of many through her warmth, culinary talents, and indomitable spirit.
As a self-employed individual, Dean proudly stated that she was the boss. Known for her spunk and sassy personality, she had a heart full of love, particularly for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Dean was a beloved matriarch who cherished the time spent with her family, often showering them with her famous home-cooked meals. She earned the affectionate title of "pie queen" at her church, delighting everyone with her delicious pies.
Dean's proudest accomplishments reflected her tenacity and strength. Despite her petite stature, she defied expectations by driving semi-trucks for a living, proving that women could indeed do it better than men. Her determination and grit served as an inspiration to those around her, showcasing a life lived fully and with purpose.
A nature lover at heart, Dean enjoyed the simple joys of life. She had a special bond with her pet deer, who would come running to her whenever she stepped outside, a testament to the love she shared with all living creatures. In addition to her love for animals, she delighted in cooking, sewing, and maintaining connections with family and friends through her many conversations. Dean shared about her Heavenly Father to all those she would talk to and didn't hesitate to pray with you right where you were.
Dean was the proud mother of Mike Lott (Sharon), Judy Drye (Richard), and Rick Lott (Suzie). She leaves behind a legacy of love through her five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, with an additional great-great-grandchild on the way.
She is predeceased by her best friend & love of her life, her husband of 66 years, Dude Lott, along with her parents, Elmer and Mattie (Stover) Self, and her eight brothers and four sisters.
