Dennis
Dreyer
November 28, 1953 – April 13, 2026
Dennis Winfield Dreyer, son of the late William J.R. “Rusty” Dreyer and Alice (Pinky) Dreyer, was born on November 28, 1953, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He departed this life on April 13, 2026, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Dennis was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his children, Mittie Johnson of Silver Creek, New York; Benjamin Dreyer of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Devin Dreyer of California. He was a proud grandfather to Terra Chaney (Luke) of Batesville, Arkansas; Taylor Gonzales (Aaron) of Crane, Texas; Tandra Marsh of Silver Creek, New York; and McKenzie Baker of Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, including Levi Gonzales, Malcom Baker, and Ava Lynn Gonzales. He is further survived by his sister, Eileen Allen of Jonesboro, Arkansas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members in Texas. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, William “Rusty” Dreyer and Alice (Pinky) Dreyer. Dennis had a deep love for sports and was a true fanatic, having played college ball himself. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, and spending time with his family. He especially cherished his dogs, Alice and Missy, and loved sharing stories of his adventures. He took classes at Arkansas State University alongside his granddaughter, Terra, something he was especially proud of. Known for his laid-back style, Dennis could almost always be found in his Converse and tie-dye shirts. Dennis was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and later studied computer science at Garland County Community College. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home in Malvern, Arkansas. His ashes will be spread at a later time in the mountains and streams of the places he loved, as well as in Texas, where he was born. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. He will be remembered for his independent spirit, his love for the open road, and the deep love he had for his family. His presence, his stories, and his quiet strength will be missed more than words can express, but the memories he created will live on in those who knew and loved him.
