Dennis Mark Threlkeld, a dedicated veteran and hardworking professional, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, at the age of 88.

Born on July 15, 1937, in El Paso, Texas, Dennis lived a life marked by service, commitment, and steadfast devotion to his family and career. He honorably served in the United States Navy from August 14, 1954, until his retirement on February 7, 1973. During his distinguished military career, he took part in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, demonstrating courage and dedication that earned him the respect and gratitude of his comrades and country.

Following his military service, Dennis transitioned into a career in logging and truck driving, professions he pursued with the same reliability and determination that characterized his approach to life. His hardworking nature and integrity were hallmarks of his character throughout his post-military years.

Dennis is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Mary Threlkeld, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories. He is also survived by his children Terri Wayman (Gary), Rodney Stark, Russell Stark, and Darren Threlkeld (Mary), all of whom he deeply cherished. His family circle extends to his sister Pauline, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren, whose lives he enriched with his presence, wisdom, and guidance.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John T. Threlkeld (Peggy) and Ellen Hurst (Cecil); his brothers, Robert and Johnny Threlkeld; and his great-grandson, Rhett Stark. Their memories are carried forward in the hearts of those who loved him.

Dennis Mark Threlkeld’s life was one of honorable service and enduring family devotion. His legacy endures through the many lives he touched, and he will be remembered with respect and affection by all who knew him.
