James Clayton Rubly, 61, of Malvern, Arkansas, passed away on September 19, 2026, in Malvern. He was born on October 4, 1964, in Texarkana, Texas.

James served his country in the United States Army. He was proud to be an Army Veteran, and was also a Mason. These parts of his life reflected commitment, service, and values that remained important to him.

He is survived by his fiancé, Sandra Burks. He also leaves behind his children, Lindsey King (Carlton) and Charles Kennedy (Taylor). James is also survived by his siblings, Elaine Langley, David Rubly, Jerry Rubly, and Kellie Watson.

His memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren, Chaselynn Betts, Clayton King, Brooklyn Burks, Thomas Burks, Nevaeh Stinson, Lacey Stinson, Mandy Stinson, Jeriamy Burks, and Rain Stinson, the McJunkin family, a handful of nieces and nephews and other family and friends. He will be remembered with love by all who knew him and by the family who carry his memory forward.

James was preceded in death by his parents, John Rubly and Oweta Smoke.

Funeral services will be held on September 23, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Atkinson Funeral Home & Chapel, 204 E 2nd St, Malvern, Arkansas 72104.
