Jeannette (Ethridge) Carruth, age 88, of Sherwood, Arkansas, went to her heavenly home Friday, April 24, 2020. She was born December 14, 1931 in Lono Arkansas to Tillman Esbon Ethridge Sr. and Sally Belle (Guest) Ethridge. Jeannette was a 1950 graduate of Malvern High School. She enjoyed her flowers and working in the yard when she was able. She also enjoyed quilting and painting. She and her late husband, Melvin Carruth Sr. spent much of their time camping and fishing on Lake DeGray. Jeannette never met a stranger and loved life. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.
Jeannette is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Carruth Sr., her parents, and five brothers and one sister. Survivors are Sons; Ralph Carruth of Huntsville, Al., and Richard (Jennifer) Carruth of Owasso, Okla., Daughters; Karen (George) Hasty and Cynthia Carruth both of Sherwood, Ar., Alicia (John) Kruzinauska of McKinney, Tx.; Twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
There will be an open visitation at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel, with limiting of ten people at a time, Wednesday, April 29, 2020 from 11:00am to 1:00pm with graveside services following at Lono Cemetery at 2:00pm with practicing the 6ft apart rule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
