Jerri Ivy, a beloved figure in the lives of many, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, in Bryant, Arkansas, at the age of 87. Born on July 1, 1937, in Hartwell, Georgia, Jerri's journey through life was marked by her unwavering spirit, deep commitment to family, and dedication to her profession as the co-founder of Commercial Air Inc.
Throughout her life, Jerri was not just a leader in her field but also a nurturing presence to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She created a legacy that extended beyond her professional achievements, deeply investing in the lives of her family members, friends, and community.
Jerri is survived by her loving daughter, Kathy Owens, and her husband Ralph; her son, "Butch" Carmey Ivy Jr., and his wife Shane. She was a cherished sister to Charles Stovall and sister-in-law to Carolyn Holcomb. The warmth and generosity she shared blossomed across generations, as seen in her adoring grandchildren: Deidre Doss Methany, Victoria Kannan, Nicholas "Nick" Clinton Ivy, Sawyer Jack Ivy, Great Grandchildren, Wyatt Tucker Jones, Stetson Ivy, Sterling Ivy, Clinton Ivy, Sutton Ivy, and Alexia Metheny. In addition, she was blessed with numerous nieces, nephews, and many extended family members and friends who will forever hold her memory dear.
Her departure is felt profoundly by all who loved her. Jerri was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Carmey Ivy, as well as her father, Hubert Stovall, her mother, Willie Maud Stovall, and her siblings: Venice Carney, Bonnie White, and Howard Stovall.
A visitation to honor Jerri Ivy’s life will be held on June 2, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bismarck Pentecostal Church, located at 2159 Arlie Moore Rd, Bismarck, Arkansas, 71929. Interment will be followed at Free Hill Cemetery, Bismarck.
Jerri Ivy’s legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. She leaves behind a tapestry of memories that reflect her remarkable life and the indelible bonds she forged with those around her.
