Jodda Orene Mitchell

Jodda Mitchell, age 66, passed at the home she loved in Malvern, Arkansas on August 9th, 2025. She is preceded by her mother, Jim Doris "Honey" Davis (with whom she appeared on the cover of Women's Circle, a nationally circulated publication), and her veteran father, William Beryl Mitchell. Like her mother, she delighted in history, genealogy, and storytelling. Like her father, she fought for the world to be a better place. Her sense of humor was irrepressible and irreplaceable. Her friends can't be counted in numbers, and the lives she touched spanned the globe. Her fight was long, her rest well-earned but unexpected. The book is now closed, but the lessons will never be forgotten.

She is survived and remembered by her life partner of 23 years, Kenneth W. Nichols, her daughters, Jasmine (wife of Laura) and Heather, as well as many beloved, rescued pets.
