Larry earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Central Arkansas, a testament to his commitment to learning and personal growth. He served honorably as a Marine during Operation Desert Storm, embodying a spirit of courage and discipline that resonated with all who knew him. Those close to him often describe Larry as someone who lived and breathed the mindset of being a Marine, noting his rough exterior countered by a deeply caring nature.

Larry is predeceased by his parents, JW and Norma Singleton, and his sisters, Diane Sargent and Judy Itkin.
