Phillip Ray Thompson, 81 of Malvern, Arkansas, passed away on November, 6, 2022. Phillip was born in Springfield, Missouri on September 26, 1941 to Romie and Ruth Thompson. He loved his cats, woodworking after retirement, spending time outdoors, traveling with Diane, and above all else spending time with family and friends.
Phillip is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Henry Thompson and William (Bill) Thompson, sisters; Mildred Stephenson, Sue McMakin, Alice Friedman, Margaret and BB (Woody) Wooldridge, and a brother-in-law; Glenn Lindas.
Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 11+ years, Diane Thompson, Children; Johnny Ray Thompson (Loretta), Richard Phillip Thompson, and Kelli Bates (fiancé Eddie Hedden), a brother; Robert Thompson (Oweta), sisters; Tommy Ruth Lindas, Lawana Sebourn (Tommy), 2 grandchildren; Kristopher Ray Thompson (Jeannie) and Zachary Taylor Thompson, great grandchildren; Isabell, Savannah, Summer, and great great grandson; Grayson, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
A visitation will be held on November 9, 2022 at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with a Graveside at Rockport Cemetery following at 1:15. Online condolences can be made at www.atkinsonfuneralhome.net
