Obituary

William Henry Overturf, age 82 of Malvern, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at home surrounded by family. William was born in Malvern on August 24, 1943, to parents Oscar L. Overturf and Nancy Paralee Roberts Overturf.

William worked for Acme Brick Company in Malvern for many years before transferring to Reynolds Rolling Mill in Jones Mill. After retirement from Reynolds, he spent his days enjoying time with friends and family. He loved watching the Arkansas Razorbacks play basketball and football as well as playing pool, cards, backgammon, cribbage, and chess. He could usually be found in front of his TV watching old westerns or his sports.

William was preceded in death by both parents, one brother Oscar Overturf Jr., one sister Sarah Overturf Ashley, and his loving wife of 58 years Carol Davenport Overturf. He is survived by one brother David Overturf (wife Donna) of Social Hill, one son Shane Overturf (wife Lisa) of Twin Bridges Montana, two daughters Angela Jackson of Malvern and Sheila Tucker (husband Steve) of Social Hill, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren along with numerous friends and extended family.

William's family would like to extend their appreciation and love for the outstanding care he received from The Atrium in Hot Springs and Gentiva Hospice. His nurses Brittney, Cassie, Diane, and Dan, along with his CNA's Bobbie, Latraice, and Sam made his last months and days comfortable, peaceful and filled with love.

A memorial of William's life will be held on Saturday April 4, 2026 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 611 Collie Road in Malvern.
